ADVISOR, a decision support tool, helps you select the most cost-effective method/media [i.e., print, tapes, classroom, computer based training, electronic performance support systems, audio/computer/video conferencing and others] or combination for the delivery of a training course/program; and determines how technology can improve the quality and reduce the cost of training. Results are presented in easy to follow charts to effectively communicate analysis as well as reports to support and document the decision process.

  • Determine the Right Combination of Delivery Methods
    With ADVISOR 3.0 you can divide a course into instructional goals; group goals according to learning outcomes; analyze and recommend the most cost-effective delivery method for each group. Results from all groups can then be compiled and compared; and the most cost-effective combination of delivery methods for the entire course is recommended.
  • Take into Consideration Time, Revenue and Experience
    In addition to effectiveness, direct and indirect costs, ADVISOR 3.0 takes into consideration time required to carry out the training, potential revenue and impact of delivery method on corporate image. ADVISOR 3.0 also identifies hidden costs associated with the introduction of a new delivery method (i.e., re-training of develop-ment, delivery and support team, changes to policies and procedures, development of communication, implementation and change management plans, etc.) when recommending a delivery method.
  • Save Time, Simplify Data Collection and Strengthen Client Communication
    ADVISOR 3.0 includes a wizard for collecting data from course managers and/or clients. Data can be collected on-line through the Internet/Intranet or by mailing a copy of the Wizard, free of charge, to potential users. Collected data can be imported, edited and analyzed by ADVISOR 3.0.
  • Consider Four New Internet Delivery Options
    Extend the analysis to synchronous - i.e., simulated classroom - and asynchronous - i.e., off-the-shelf, simple, customized and multimedia web based training. Four new Internet/Intranet based delivery options have been added to the 20 delivery methods that are presently considered in ADVISOR 2.0.
  • Estimate Development Time for all Delivery Methods
    In addition to computer based training (CBT), ADVISOR 3.0 estimates the number of hours required to develop instructor-led, print, audio tapes, video tapes, electronic performance support tools (EPSS), Conferencing, Simulation as well as Internet/Intranet based training courses. The results are carried forward to the Training Costs Analysis module where development costs are computed.
  • Moreover, ADVISOR 3.0
    • Evaluates the impact of supplements (computer based testing and performance support tools, for example) on the effectiveness of delivery methods.
    • Assess the impact of alternate options on the organization bottom line as well as your budget.
    • Set standards and enhance the reliability of the analysis through templates - organization specific data files.
